Norman Lloyd, a venerable character actor for nine decades who may be best remembered for playing the villain who dangles from the Statue of Liberty at the climax of Alfred Hitchcock’s World War II propaganda thriller “Saboteur,” died May 11 at his home in Los Angeles.
